Diabetes/Neuropathy
Testimonials
I lived with being a diabetic type “B” for over
10 years. I went through the same problems
as most diabetics do, lack of circulation in the left leg, neuropathy
cramping of the muscles in the legs and feet. The feet are the worst when they cramp up in the arch of the
foot, you never felt such pain in your life. In the fall of 1998, I scratched
the front of my right leg on a rose bush while cleaning up the
yard. This little scratch became
infected even though I cleaned and disinfected it. It wouldn’t heal; it just kept getting
more and more infected. When it
seemed to me that it wasn’t healing, I went to a doctor. The diagnosis was to further treat it
with some different antibiotic cream.
This went on for 4 months, returning to the doctor everyday to have
the bandages removed and cleaned.
When he felt he couldn’t do anything more for me, he recommended me
to the wound center in Minneapolis, MN.
That is what they treat there, diabetics with wounds. It is now a
year later, the wound is bigger, and it has gone into the bone and started
to smell. The doctor told me that
they did all they could for me, advised me that the next step would be
to amputate the leg. Of course
I didn’t want that to happen, because when doctors start cutting they don’t
stop. They continued to call the
house for me to make an appointment to go to the hospital. I decided I didn’t want to go through
all that. A friend of ours told my
wife about this new machine that he thought would really help me. He offered to loan the machine for three
days. She came home with the
machine, told me to go on the machine at least 3 to 4 times a day for 2-3
minutes. Of course I looked at this
stupid machine, and wasn’t very impressed, in fact, I didn’t want any part
of it. But, she insisted, and I
went on it three times a day for 7 days.
On the 7th day I got off the machine and my right leg
started itching. This might not
sound like much to you, but, I haven’t had feeling in my right leg for a
long time. I unwrapped the wound
and saw that it was all scabbed over and it had started to heal. It’s a
year later now and my leg is all healed and I have no more cramps in my
feet. This last summer I was
assistant producer on the James Gang, “The Confession of the Ninth
Man.” I climbed trees, walked
through swamps, got knocked over by horses, and found myself having the
time of my life remembering just 2 years ago when the doctor gave me a form
for Handicap Parking. As far as I
am concerned, the Chi Machine saved my life and gave me back the life I
wanted to live. – David G.
I’ve been a diabetic for 15 years and had my leg
amputated about four years ago, so I have an artificial leg. I also have neuropathy real bad in my
other leg from being a diabetic. When I got up off of the Chi Machine
after using it for the first time, my good leg had tingling in it,
something I hadn’t felt in four or five years. I felt that tingling and I didn’t really believe it because
I’m a pretty skeptical person. I decided to investigate the Chi Machine and
after I did, I decided to buy one.
Just two weeks after I started using my Chi Machine I went to the
Veteran’s Hospital and the doctors were quite stunned because my blood
tests were the best they had been in four or five years. The doctors
checked the reflexes in my foot as well.
This was the first time since I’ve been going to the VA that I’ve had
a reflex in my foot. Using the Chi
Machine was the only thing that I had changed in my daily life so I figured
it was helping.
Having reflexes was a good sign because I lost my other
foot when I got a sore on it and it wouldn’t heal because of poor circulation. I don’t want to be a double amputee and
the only thing I’ve found that will help me whatsoever is the Chi
Machine. I’ve been using the Chi
Machine every day and I’ve experienced other benefits as well. I’ve had to cut my insulin back
twice, a total of 20 units a day.
Any one who’s a diabetic knows that’s a lot. The Chi Machine has
worked quite well for me. I have
tingling in my leg all day long now and I have a lot more energy. My children cannot understand how I can
go all day, I’m 65, I don’t take naps, and I work quite hard in many
different situations. I’m well pleased with the Chi Machine and what it’s
done for me. All it does is help my
body take care of itself. –Dennis

I am a diabetic with neuropathy in my feet and venous
insufficiency in both ankles. By
using the Chi Machine for 15 to 20 minutes twice a day the circulation is
improving and the burning sensation has almost gone. Before I started using the Chi Machine I
would wake up several times during the night with a terrific burning
sensation whenever covers touched my ankles. Now I am getting a good night’s sleep. I also have to wear a
TENS unit (a battery powered pain unit) for the spasms in my arm following
radical mastectomy surgery. As a
result of the surgery, I could not extend my left arm much above the ear
level in a curved position, despite much physical therapy and going to the
chiropractor. Since I have been
using the Chi Machine, I can now extend it completely over my head to match
the other arm. I can now go longer
intervals without the TENS unit. My curiosity had me go have my cholesterol
rechecked. After 8 weeks using the
Chi Machine, with no other changes in diet, exercise or medication, the
triglycerides were down 34 points, HDL (good) cholesterol up 11 points and
LDL (bad) cholesterol down 19 points.
Each day I see other pluses so my Chi and I are good friends. My
husband had triple-bypass surgery in 1998 and also has a bone spur on his
hip joint, which limits his being able to walk. He has faithfully ridden his stationery bike for thirty
minutes every other day but could not lose any weight. When he began using the Chi Machine, he
lost 4 pounds in the first 3 weeks and is continuing to lose more. He is also less bothered by his bad hip
since he has been using the Chi Machine. Both of us are extremely pleased
that we have the Chi Machine. –Juanita

The main reason I wanted to try the Chi Machine
was due to reports of diabetics having great results, particularly
with neuropathy and foot pain.
Before starting sessions with the Chi Machine I was experiencing
severe pain in both my legs and feet.
The toes on both my feet were always numb and I had a stubborn sore
on one toe of the left foot which would not heal. Worst of all I knew things were getting progressively worse
as I could feel the effects of the neuropathy creeping up both legs towards
my knees. It was starting to appear
in my fingers as well. Frankly, I
was worried because I had other problems too, which could all be attributed
to the diabetes. After my first session on the Chi Machine I noticed
immediately that the uneasy feeling in the very pit of my gut that I had
been experiencing every waking moment of the day had disappeared. After a week I noticed the pain in my
legs and feet had all but disappeared.
So had the creeping neuropathy between my knees and ankles. In the first week some other wonderful
things happened. That sore toe
healed right up. Two other sores in
the middle of my back, which I had been suffering for months, healed. Stomach and intestinal gas, which caused
discomfort a few hours after meals, had also disappeared. By the end of the
second week I was sleeping right through the night instead of the usual
tossing and turning like a cork on the ocean. The neuropathy in my hands was all gone too. It is now the end of week three and I
have the feeling back in every single toe on both feet. I can sense hot and cold in every toe as
well. What is most incredible is
that my medications seem to be working as my sugars have been consistently
within the normal range for days now.
The Chi Machine has far exceeded my expectations. I recommend it to everyone. –Jerry

“From my experience with the
Chi Machine, it is beneficial to aging loved ones burdened with the
immobilizing effects of stroke and diabetes. Preventing further
circulatory complications is a primary goal and the Chi Machine is a great
aid. An important advantage is that the Chi Machine can be used in the home
every day as often as needed or desired." – Karen L., WI
“I plan to use the Chi machine
on specific types of patients in my chiropractic office. These patients
would be those with circulatory difficulties, i.e. pitting edema,
diabetes, peripheral neuropathy. The Chi motion increased the
circulation to the heart and decreased the swelling in the legs. I am very
excited about this." -Dr.
